Orphie Character Release

Orphie is the new character released for Zenless Zone Zero's version 2.2 second half. She is a fire Attack agent who specializes in being a supportive DPS, increasing the Attack the entire team and provides extra off-field damage via aftershocks.


Some of the best teammates for Orphie are Seed, Soldier 0, Soldier 11, and most other Attack agents can be used alongside her as she acts as a supportive Damage character.


For her W-Engines, the best free W-engine you can get is the Gilded Blossom obtained through an old event, but if you weren't around for that event, you can instead Anton's Drill Rig - Red Axis A-Rank W-Engine obtained through Signal Search. For S-Ranks, her best is obviously her exclusive W-Engine Bellicose Blaze with Heartstring Nocturne, Severed Innocence, and Myriad Eclipse are other viable Limited options while The Brimstone is her best Standard S-Rank.


When it comes to 4 piece Disc Drive sets, Shadow Harmony is the absolute best while Astral Voice can also be used, while for 2 piece sets, she really wants energy regen to max the attack buff she provides with the options for this are Swing Jazz and/or Moonlight Lullaby or you can opt into using attack pieces with 2pc Astral Voice or Hormone Punk or CRIT pieces to increase her own personal damage.


When it comes to her Skills, Orphie is primarily an off-field damage dealer and buffer with her Core Skill and Special Attack being the skills that provide the buffs, while her other skills only increase her own personal on-field damage.

 
 
 

Seed Character Release

Seed is the new character released for Zenless Zone Zero's version 2.2 first half. She is an Electric Attack agent who specializes in being a supportive DPS, increasing the Attack and Crit Damage of herself and the teams main DPS, which she makes the team's 'Vanguard'.


Some of the best teammates for Seed are the upcoming Orphie, Soldier 0, Soldier 11, Harumasa, Nekomata, Billy, and most other Attack agents can be used alongside her as she acts as a supportive Damage character.


For her W-Engines, the best free W-engine you can get is the Marcato Desire obtained through an old event, but if you weren't around for that event, you can instead pick up the Starlight Engine from the Box Galaxy Store for a couple of Attack W-Eingine parts, a handful of Dennies, and a W-Engine Chip. For S-Ranks, her best is obviously her exclusive W-Engine Cordis Germina with Severed Innocence, Zanshin Herb Case, and Heartstring Nocturne are other viable Limited options while The Brimstone is her best Standard S-Rank.


When it comes to 4 piece Disc Drive sets, Dawn's Bloom is really the only set that should be used on her with the only other real option is Woodpecker Electro, while for 2 piece sets, she mainly wants a Crit set or something to increase her Damage such as Thunder Metal, Dawn's Bloom, Puffer Electro, or an Attack set (Astral Voice and/or Hormone Punk).


When it comes to her Skills, she is primarily a Basic Attacker, meaning you want this to be her main priority outside of her Core Skill.

 
 
 

Zenless Zone Zero Version 2.2 News, "Do Not Go Gentle Into That Good Night"

Launching September 4th, the Zenless Zone Zero v2.2 update will be featuring 2 new characters from Obol Squad being the Electric Attack agent Seed and the Fire Attack agent Orphie & Magus and their W-Engines, 2 new Bangboo (one S-Rank from Obol Squad and one A-Rank for free from an event), 2 new Disc Drives sets, reruns of Trigger and Evelyn and their W-Engines, a new main quest with "Do Not Go Gentle Into That Good Night" alongside Seed's TV Channel quest, five new events, a return of the All New Program reward event for 10 Encrypted Mastertapes through the whole version and the "Eh-Nah" Into Your Lap reward event starting in the second half of the version update, and the Advanced Bounty and Data Bounty events returning.

Optimizations and Changes to the Game

Dawn's Bloom:

2pc: Increase Basic Attack Damage by 15%

4pc: Increase Basic Attack Damage by 20%. When Equipped by an Attack character, when using EX Special Attack or Ultimate will further increase Basic Attack Damage by 20% for 25s. Repeated Triggers reset the duration.


Moonlight Lullaby:

2pc: Energy Regen +20%

4pc: When the equipper is a Support character and uses an EX Special Attack or Ultimate, the Damage dealt by all squad members increases by 18% for 25s. Repeated triggers reset the duration. Passive effects of the same name do not stack.

Cordis Germina:

Advanced Stat: Crit Rate

Increases CRIT Rate by 15%. When the equipper deals DMG with a Basic Attack or EX Special Attack, they gain 1 stack of a buff. Each stack increases the equipper's Electric DMG by 12.5%, up to 2 stacks. Each stack lasts 40s. The duration of each stack is calculated separately. Can trigger once per use of a skill. At 2 stacks, the wearer's Basic Attack and Ultimate DMG ignore 20% of enemy DEF.


Bellicose Blaze: Increases CRIT Rate by 20%. When the equipper triggers an Aftershock that deals Fire DMG, their attacks ignore 15% of the target's DEF for 8s. Can stack once every 3s, up to 2 stacks. Repeated triggers reset the duration.
